powers: being a vampire Henry is very strong, can hear and smell better than humans und is very fast. He can also manipulate most humans, telling them to forget things or do certain things.

Backstory: Henry was born in 1519 to Henry VIII of England and Elizabeth Blount, which meant he was an illegitimate son of the king. In 1536, at the age of 17, Henry officially died of consumption. He however died because he was turned into a vampire by his lover Christina. She taught him the ways of vampires and how to feed on humans without killing them and leaving a lot of bodies behind that would rise suspicion among humans. They spent a year together as lovers. Then the vampires natural territorial nature became too much and they split up.
After that Henry moved to several countries, always tryingto blend in with the humans.
He eventually ended up in Toronto, Canada, where he met private detective Vicki Nelson in 2007. As she started to work on supernatural cases Henry offered to help.

Relationships: Henry fell in love with Vicki Nelson. She seemed to return his feelings, but was torn between him and Mike.
Friendships: Henry doesn't really have many friends. Being a vampire makes him more or less a loner. He doesn't trust many people with his secret. The only people that know about him are Vicki, Mike and Coreen (Vickis assistant). Mike however isn't really a friend.
Sexuality: bisexual

Strengths: As he is 489 years old Henry has a lot of experience and knows a lot. Being the son of a king Henry has been educated from the beginning and was trained to act like a prince. He has an aura of power, that people can feel. Whether it comes just from being a vampire or from his royal blood as well is unclear. He is usually able to get people to do what he wants.
Weaknesses: As a vampire Henry is kind of dead during the day. When the sun goes up Henry falls into a sleep-like state which he can't wake up from until the sun goes down again. During that time he is completely vulnerable.
Another weakness is the vampires territorial behavior. They don't allow other predators (including vampires) to hunt in their territory. The territorial instinct makes them lose control, be very irrational and act without thinking.
Personality: Henry has a strong personality. Vampires in general do. They tend to think they are superior to humans. Being the son of a king doesn't help in Henrys case. He however doesn't usually talk or look down on people, unless they are really stupid or evil.

What was your character doing before he arrived on the island?
Henry used to help Vicki Nelson with her cases and fell in love with her. She however was torn between him and Mike Celluci. When it became obvious that Henry didn't have a future with Vicki he decided to move to Vancouver.

Henry comes from the end of season 2 of Blood Ties. I might however add some personality traits or backstory from the Blood Books as well.
